Dr. Pan is the clinic chief officer at Magic dental clinic. She is petite and her passion for art has close connection with her practices in cosmetic dentistry. To simplify TCI (target control infusion), it provides different degree of sedation. TCI puts patient to sleep with only one third of general anesthesia effect. When the sedation is under the medium level, patient will be able to follow Dentist’s guidance consciously. Various activities like swallow, open mouth, breathing voluntarily, and cardiopulmonary function can be carried out normally. Patients only need five to ten minutes recovery period after the surgery and rest for another twenty to thirty minutes before leaving the clinic. The chance for side effects like nausea and vomiting side to occur after the surgery is usually below 10%. Dental Extraction

A different sedation level is used for target control infusion with only one third of intensity comparing to general anesthesia effect. Patient is put to sleep but capable of following the direction consciously that is instructed by dentist. Swallowing, mouth opening, breathing normally, and maintaining of normal cardiopulmonary function are not affected by TCI. Patient usually wakes up five to ten minutes after the surgery. It an out-patient procedure with twenty to thirty minutes pose-operative rest and patient is discharged. Although patient will be able to travel home alone, a companion is strongly recommended by Magic Dental Clinic.
